Kobe Institute of Computing; Graduate School of Information Technology is an IT professional graduate school established in April 2005 aiming to develop people with outstanding specialist capabilities who can play central roles in IT infrastructures. The operating body is Kobe Institute of Computing. It also runs College of Computing.

Faculty / Education

Unlike traditional graduate schools which are for fostering of researchers, KIC is for training skilled IT professionals. Therefore about 30% of the faculty are experienced IT professionals.

Lecture System

Considering working students the classes are provided both at weekday night as well as in daytime. Since 2009 KIC has started Saturday classes. KIC has a unique school term system which is called “6-term system”. Each term lasts for 2 months. The curriculum is developed to enable students to have laboratory teaching after lecture, which helps students to enable to practice with knowledge that they get on lectures.
